Very Short but enjoyable trip

Bhutan is a great country and a fantastic journey that has exceeded my expectations. I have never been to Bhutan before, and it was on my wish list for many years. Although I have made several trips with Nepal Tour & Trekking Service P. Ltd., this was my first trip to Bhutan with them. The itinerary was varied and very busy quickly and included everything from very active to very relaxing.

I wanted a trip that combined the Paro Festival with a visit to the Tiger Nest Monastery and some short hiking, and this trip does just that. The landscape was incredible. The festival was fantastic and such a wonderful and joyful occasion where the locals in their national costumes watched hundreds of incredible stories through dance. On the last day, we had an excellent view of the thangka. It was a real privilege to attend and be a part of this festival. The walk had an impressive stage and was demanding enough. I wish it had been a little warmer at night! Waking up in the snow was a bit cold, but the hot water bottles in our sleeping bags at night helped keep the cold out.
